In this lecture, I was introduced to a concept that threw light on the different kinds of hand grips which we subconsciously use all the time. We collectively listed a number of grips and selected five of them, that were more specific and unique to us and then took pictures of our hands holding that grip from all six sides. We were then asked to sketch them. Making 30 sketches of different hand gestures improved my hand drawing especially in terms of proportion and scale and also in terms of perspective, lines and shading. It made me emphasize on the little things that would usually go unnoticed.
