Today we learnt a few very fascinating features of InDesign. We learnt about paragraph style and character style which is something that makes it a lot easier to render extensive formats like magazines and newspapers. By using this, we can edit the paragraph or writing style (color, size, font, etc), save it and use it multiple times, so that we don’t have to remember and change the settings everytime we write something new. This is a very handy tool in terms of organization.

In the second half of the class, we did another interesting activity: we were asked to imitated a newspaper layout. The faculty showed us an entire example. In the process of that, we used most of the tools that we had learned before which gave me a very good recap and practice. We also learned some new things like drop cap.
