CONTINUITY– human eye tends to follow and flow with lines and curves
PROXIMITY- we group closer elements separating them from those farther apart
CLOSURE– we tend to perceive forms and figures in their complete appearance despite the absence of some parts, either hidden or totally absent.
FIGURE AND GROUND– people perceive objects as being either in the foreground or background.
SYMMETRY– symmetrical elements are perceived as part of the same group.
SIMILARITY– we seek differences and similarities in an image and link similar elements.
Peer review-
Esha – These examples show various observations and also explain the laws clearly . I feel figure and ground examples don”t fit in the category as there are two many elements in the background
Durva- The pictures are quiet precise and self explainatory. Although i feel that the background contrasts a lot.
Roshni- I feel that all the pictures are well captured. They all are appropriate for the criterias mentioned.
Sejal- Love how all the pictures are in a theme of black and white! claps for the effort! Also love the pictures of figure and ground and closure.
