Drawing (10)

In today’s class we began with color theory, then discussed the meanings of different colors.

I learned how colors can mean so much. Every color symbolizes a particular emotion. Even the colors we chose to wear in the morning indicates our mood. And, the colors we tend to like, represents our personality in general. Not only do colors represent emotions but also affects them. In fact, there is a whole branch of color psychology to study colors as determinants of human behavior.

Today’s class was all about understanding hues and playing with tones, shades and tints. We were asked to find two images and make their color swatches. I tried to chose some challenging images.

It was quite arduous to understand the transition of colors in the image, identify each color, and then exactly replicate it.

This exercise made it easier for me understand and produce different shades, tones and tints.
