In this class, we were asked to make a small installation by connecting all those 3D models. I erected my installation by using a base and a pillar. I linked different models by finding common elements in them. For example, one of my metaphor contained sun, one contained stars and one had moon. Thus, I connected them, and placed them side by side. I also connected those with a metaphor containing “ocean” and under it I placed the one with “fish”.
There were two metaphor 3Ds that represented my introversion, thus I placed them on the two sides of the installation in such a way that they are not instantly visible from the front ,representing my shy nature.
I like how in the end it turned out to give an impression of staircase which represents my metaphor “life is a climb and I’m fighting uphill battles to reach the peak”. I placed this metaphor on the top to represent my climb to reach the peak of a mountain, meaning, I’m always learning from my mistakes and the life-lessons and moving forward. This process of making the installation helped me expand my creative thinking.
