In today’s class we did a very fun exercise. The faculty played songs and asked us to sketch one object per song. He asked us neither to make details nor to shade it; just a simple sketch, enough to communicate the idea. We kept on increasing the speed of our sketches. Sketching two object per song was pretty challenging for me. At last, we were asked to complete 5 in one song and I could hardly complete 3. This exercise made me face my weaknesses. I realized, in design, it is more important to be able to communicate your ideas.
Further, we were asked to render any 10 of the sketches we made and give it all the details and textures.
