In today’s class we first recapitulated what we did in the previous one and cleared our doubts. Then we learned about a few more basic tools; the most important being the pen tool. I learned how to curve and how to select and move anchor points. I could not get hold of it initially but could grasp it better as I practiced it.
I learned how to export illustrator files in JPEG format, and to open and edit artboards. Further we learned how to use the blending tool, the reverse spine tool, the brush tool, and also the blob brush.
Next, I learned how to play with symbols, and tried all of the following: Symbol sprayer, shifter, scruncher, sizer, spinner and strainer.
At last, I learned about clipping mask. I found it very interesting, how using all the above tools I can create something new.
